Globe Extends #SeniorDigizen TikTok Contest Until October 8, 2023, in Celebration of Elderly Week

Great news for all TikTok enthusiasts and families embracing the digital age together! Due to the overwhelming response, Globe is thrilled to announce the extension of its heartwarming #SeniorDigizen: Teach Me How To ‘Digi’ TikTok contest until October 8, 2023. This extension perfectly aligns with the nation’s Elderly Week festivities, providing more time for memorable videos and heartwarming moments with Lolo and Lola!

Launched on September 10, 2023, in celebration of Grandparents Day, the #SeniorDigizen challenge has been a delightful blend of humor and nostalgia. Gen Z and millennials have been creating TikTok videos that showcase their grandparents’ or parents’ journey into the digital world. Impressively, the campaign quickly garnered two million views on TikTok.

This extension not only allows more families to participate but also emphasizes our dedication to fostering digital literacy among our senior citizens. It’s heartwarming to see the younger generation guiding their elders through the digital world, bridging the generation gap,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe Group Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer.

Exciting Prizes Await!

The top 25 entries will receive ₱25,000 worth of Globe Group products and may earn up to ₱75,000 in goodies upon completing a two-month ambassadorship program. Winning grandparents are also in for engaging learning sessions as part of the #SeniorDigizen Ambassador program.

How to Join:

If you’re between 15 and 50 years old, seize the opportunity to jump into the contest! Partner with your parent, grandparent, or elderly relative aged 60 and above, and create a video lasting 15 seconds to five minutes. Guide them through the tech world, whether it’s navigating a new app, crafting a slick instant message, diving into social media, or any tech twist you fancy. The aim is to make it captivating, authentic, and filled with warmth. Once you’ve crafted that perfect clip, share it with @globeofgood using the hashtags #SeniorDigizen.
